Description
Well-used but still presentable copy of The Beatles’ classic 1970 album. This is an early if not first pressing with the fully-laminated sleeve and red apple on the reverse. Not a top example but will do fine until that original NM box set copy comes along!
Sleeve VG Generally Light wear and scuffing. The corners are rather worn but the lettering on the spine survives. There is a 4cm seam split at the base
Labels VG+/Ex Very clean. Light spindle traces on the Side 1 label. Moderate to heavy spindle traces on the Side 2 label. There is a small label on the Side 2 label.
Inner G+ Original plain white bag. Intact but plenty of handling wear and age spotting.
Record Visually VG-, fairly nice shine to the vinyl still. Lots of light marks and scuffs but nothing deep or serious. Playback doesn’t get off to a great start with a jump and a couple of pops during John Lennon’s speech at the very beginning of Side 1. However things improve and the audio settles down to a satisfactory grading of VG with a fair amount of crackle throughout. Generally clear and bright sound, and still a great listen after nearly 49 years!
