Description
The Beatles - Let It Be - 1970 UK Apple PCS 7096 - red Apple logo on back sleeve - Good Plus (G+) condition.
Overall this is a presentable copy - clearly NOT mint - but none too bad either.
The sleeve has the red Apple log and is scuffed / worn on the opening edges - when held up to the light some small indentations can be seen - and there are some minor creases.
The vinyl is in 'good' condition - there are hair line marks / scratches and scuffs - and whilst it does generally play perfectly well there are, unfortunately, occasional clicks and pops - so it is immediately downgraded to Good Plus (G+) condition only. I have no doubt that some of the 'cowboy' sellers on ebay would grade this disc as being in Very Good or even as Excellent condition - it isn't.
Specifically the most notable imperfections are:
There is some slight surface noise on some bits of the quieter passages - hardly much at all - but it should be noted.
There are faint 'tics' on the opening of 'Let It Be' and then three 'pops'.
One 'pop' on One After 909.
Some crackle is audible during most of For You Blue.
One 'pop' during Get Back.
Overall I very much hope that I 'passed the audition' !
THE BEATLES LET IT BE - PPCS 7096 on the spine which is clearly legible.
The inner sleeve has 'Made in England', rounded edges and, 'Patent Nos. 1,125,555'.
A newer poly lined sleeve will also be included along with an outer poly sleeve for extra protection.
Mothers / Stampers; OH & OO. Matrix; YEX 773-2U, YEX 774-2U
All records carefully cleaned with soft brushes and cloths and play tested on a Audio-Technica AT-LP-120 deck through a Cambridge A2 amp and Gale monitor speakers. As always a professional clean would probably enhance the vinyl.
