Description
If you missed getting a copy of this Beatles boxed set of 4 singles with picture covers plus extras, here is your chance in this auction. Here are the details:
· The Beatles Singles Red Box Set by The Beatles
· I understand that this box set was offered at Black Friday Record Store Day (November 25, 2011).
· I read on-line that only 15, 700 were produced.
· This set contains four 7-inch 45 RPM singles. Each A-side is sung by a different Beatle. The A-sides are: Ticket to Ride, Yellow Submarine, Hey Jude and Something. These 7-inch 45 RPM records come in covers like the original issues in the 1960s. In fact, the covers and labels are reproductions of the original 1960s issues: orange/yellow swirl labels for “Ticket To Ride” b/w “Yes it Is” and “Yellow Submarine” b/w “Eleanor Rigby” and Apple labels for “Hey Jude” b/w “Revolution” and “Something” b/w “Come Together”.
· A 21” x 21” B&W poster of The Beatles is included. A miniature version of the poster is on the inside of the box lid.
· A single hub adaptor to insert and allow the 7-inch records to be played using the turntable spindle is also included.
· These are the 2009 digitally remastered pressings.
· The BOX SET is a LIMITED EDITION and INDIVIDUALLY NUMBERED.
· This Box Set is number 06699 which is printed on the rear of the box.
· The red box measures 7 ½ inches x 7 ¾ inches x 1 ¼ inches thick.
· The BOX, RECORDS, POSTER and 3 of the PICTURE COVERS are all NEAR MINT. The “Ticket To Ride/Yes It Is” PICTURE COVER is NEAR MINT MINUS due to a very slight ½ -inch bit of wear on the bottom center edge caused by movement of the record inside the cover. It has NOT progressed to a seam split.
· Also included is the original Record Store Day Sticker and the Insert that was originally inside the rear shrink wrap on the back of the box illustrating the box contents.
FYI: I used the COVER/SLEEVE GRADES and RECORD GRADES listed and described on page 8 of the Price Guide for the Beatles American Records. These are Poor (pr), Fair (Fr), Good Minus (G-), Good (G), Good Plus (G+), Very Good Minus (VG-), Very Good (VG), Very Good+ (VG+), Near Mint Minus or Very Good++ (NM- or VG++), Near Mint (NM), Mint Minus (M-), and Mint (M or MT) to VISUALLY grade this LP, so please know the descriptions of these grades before bidding.
