INCREDIBLY RARE 2ND PRESSING OF THE GERMAN DOMESTIC RELEASE IN A FACTORY SEALED CONDITION

Insanely rare factory sealed copy of the 2nd domestic German release of 1973. This copy is the only true Stereo pressing. The importer and distributor of this issue was the legendary Peters International, a New York based company. Unlike the 1st German pressing, which used the Capitol mastertape, had the 3 simulated Stereo mixes and the 1966 Stereo mix of "Strawberry Fields Forever", this 2nd pressing has the tracks "Penny Lane", "Baby You're a Rich Man" and "All You Need Is Love" recorded in true Stereo and includes the 1971 Stereo Mix of "Strawberry Fields Forever". The single-type fully laminated cover contains the original red-blue-white target "IMPORTED & DISTRIBUTED" sticker with the Peters International logo and "New York, N.Y. 10019" address on the front. The upper left-hand corner of the front cover has the HÖR ZU logo, also known as the "record player" logo, which was change to the Apple Records on the subsequent pressings. The upper right-hand corner of the front cover contains the word "Apple". The back cover of the original cover has the catalog number "SHZE 327", "STEREO" banner along with "auch MONO abspielbar" means "also playable MONO" in the upper right-hand corner. The back cover also features the old Apple Records mark, which looks like a drawing, and the phrase "Apple Presents". Based on the available information, the labels of this release contain a light apple and the new design black HÖR ZU logo on the left side along with the perimeter text reading "Apple Records - All Rights of the Manufacturer and of the Owner of the Recorded Work Reserved".

Beautiful factory sealed copy in Mint Minus condition. The shrink wrap with original breathe holes is fully intact and doesn't have any splits or missing pieces. Some very light discoloration on the spine. Light creasing and bending to the top right and bottom left corner, which happens quite often in the case with these laminated covers due to them being quite thin. Final upgrade copy.
