IN THIS AUCTION: 

·       “MEET THE BEATLES” by the Beatles  

·       This LP is Capitol Records ST 2047.

·       This is a STEREO LP.

·       The Cover is a Capitol-marked cover with “Capitol” on the front cover, rear cover and spine.

·       The COVER in this auction came from Capitol Records’ Scranton Pressing Plant. This is based on the number “3” printed on the rear cover at lower right.

·       The VINYL has a triangle containing the letters “IAM” in the trail-off vinyl which indicates that this record ALSO came from Capitol’s Scranton pressing plant.

·       So, this is the correct vinyl for this cover with the #3 on the cover and the triangle in the dead wax.  

·       This LP has the ORIGINAL CAPITOL RECORDS LABELS without “Subsidiary” printing. 

·       This is the Capitol label variation that credits BMI for every song except the 1st and 3rd songs on Side 2 which are credited to ASCAP.

·       This revised label was sent to the printers in mid-1966, so it is likely that this LP was produced in mid to late 1966.

·       The COVER is graded STRONG VG to VG+. (check images.) There is light overall wear on the front cover primarily on the tan/brown letters and light wear on the rear cover near the bottom, light wear on the top left corner and a small corner bend on the bottom right corner on the front which is a small corner crease on the bottom left corner on the rear (same location). Seams and spine are nice and strong. The cover still looks quite nice.  

·       The VINYL is graded Strong VG+ to Near Mint Minus. There are just a few light surface hairlines/scuffs present.

·       It’s a GREAT BEATLES LP to add to your vinyl collection.
