Description
The Beatles-"Meet the Beatles"-LP with "Paste Over" Cover
- The early success of this record was unexpected, and Capitol had not produced enough covers to meet the demand of the Beatle’s rapidly expanding fan base (a good problem to have!)
- Their quick-fix solution was to pull covers from their back stock of poorly selling LP’s and paste the front cover of “Meet the Beatles” directly over it.
- The paste over on this copy has been pulled just far enough to verify its authenticity..the covered LP is a swing record of some sort (see photos)
- This is the MONO recording
Condition Notes:
- Vinyl is shiny and plays beautifully with minimal surface noise, despite fine scratches.
- Bright, angled lighting shows light surface scratches on both sides of the vinyl…too light to feel with fingernail.
- Some light rubbing on the inner labels
- Outer jacket has some minor ring wear, bumped corners/edge wear, a few scattered spots and some tanning of the white areas.
- Original Inner sleeve is well preserved with light wear.
