Description

I am selling a very sought-after UK first vinyl pressing of The Beatles No 1 (GEP 883). This 1963 7" mono EP features four songs: I Saw Her Standing There, Misery, Anna and Chains.

The laminated flipback sleeve is in excellent condition, with very little wear. The rear of the sleeve features the words 'Recording first published 1963', 'Garrod', 'EMI Records Ltd' etc.

As for the record itself, it is in very decent condition, with just the odd hairline scratch and nick. As far as I could tell, these do not affect playability and the record sounds great. At worst there might be a crackle here and there.

This is on the black label with the pop-out centre and Parlophone written in yellow. The words 'THE PARLOPHONE CO LTD...' are written in capital letters around the circumference, and the label also features the words 'MADE IN GREAT BRITAIN'. On side one it says 'NORTHERN SONGS LTD' and on side two it says 'S BERNSTEIN ALDON MUS. MECOLICO C. BENS BIEM/NCB. The matrix numbers are: Side One - 7TCE 764-1N; Side Two - 7TCE 765-1N.
