1 MOTHER TO SIDE 1.

MONO PMC 7027. FIRST EVER PRESSING. FIRST PRESS MATRIX, WITH 1 MOTHER TO SIDE 1. GATEFOLD FLIP BACK LAMINATED SLEEVE WITH ORIGINAL NEAR MINT CUT-OUTS, AND ORIGINAL VG+ CONDITION ‘FLAME’ INNER. KT EMBOSSED TAX CODE TO SIDE 1.

PLAY TESTED. VG+ AUDIO

The audio is VG+ throughout, with just some crackle/surface noise on intros, and occasional light crackle/surface noise, but really very little, even on the quieter sections. A VG+ audio experience.

VISUAL - VG+

Visually, there is a glossy sheen, with most marks/hairlines/very light scuffs visible under an angled light only. Other marks/hairlines etc are more visible, but there’s nothing feelable or audible on playback, which for the most part, is VG+ throughout.

LABELS (Extra dot to side 1) - VG. Embossed KT Tax Code.

The labels are clean and graffiti free on both sides, and are again VG, with just spindle ware. And of course, side 1 has the misprinted extra dot, with ‘SOLD IN.U.K. SUBJECT TO RESALE’ etc. It was originally thought that only Stereo pressings had this misprint, but a small number of Mono pressings had the same error, and are becoming increasingly difficult to track down.

CUT-OUT - NEAR MINT

Original cut-out, in near mint condition, with barely any visible amount of ware/signs of storage.

GATEFOLD SLEEVE - VERY GOOD+

The laminated g/f sleeve is clean, bright, and has just relatively minor shelf ware/creasing throughout, but with perhaps a more prominent crease to front right corner.

The rear has just a little ‘ringing’ to the top, and minor creasing to left of spine.

The spine is clean, and easily legible, with some relatively light scuffing.

The inner g/f is superb. Bright, clean, and with very little creasing/ware. The opening edges are clean and defined, with very little ‘feathering’.

It is the first pressing sleeve, with internal fold over seams/flip backs on the inside, and is in VG+ overall glossy condition.

‘FLAME INNER’. VG+

The original ‘Patents Applied For’ ‘flame’ ‘The Fool’ designed inner, is VG+, with just minor feathering/tiny tares to the top, and a small seam split to the base. Easily repairable.

In conclusion, this is a lovely, original first press mono, with, for the most part, VG+ audio, which I’d give an overall grading as VG++. I do though tend to be quite conservative in my gradings/descriptions, as being a collector myself, I appreciate that accurate and honest grading is paramount. Thus, I retain a 100% positive feedback rating, so rest assured, you can bid with confidence.
