The Beatles - Please Please Me
German Odeon stereo issue of their first album, this is almost impossible to find. This LP was pressed in tiny numbers for distribution to army bases in Germany. Very few have survived the last 40 years and most of those are in terrible condition.
This is the only copy of this rare LP that I have ever seen and in another 10 years of collecting I doubt I will ever see another. Do not miss out on this fantastic LP as you may never get the chance to own another!

- Year: 1964
- Catalogue Number: ZTOX 5550
- Sleeve: Fully laminated sleeve which still has a lovely shine to it. There are 2 pinholes (top left corner and bottom right corner) where the previous owner hung the sleeve on his wall (doh!). The corners show storage wear and have scuffed. Corners by opening have both split inwards by about 1.5cm. On the reverse there is 'Lucas. HQ/1' in blue ink at the top, also 6 '?' by different tracks on the track listing. Reverse also shows some ringwear and a small stain at the bottom. Spine is intact and perfectly readable. Having said all of that this still looks fantastic, but I want to point out all the defects so you know exactly what you are buying. I would grade this as VERY GOOD/VERY GOOD+
- Inner Sleeve: Plain white inner, not sure if it is the original.
- Vinyl: Labels are excellent with no ink markings, just a bit of wear around Side 2 spindle hole. The vinyl shines beautifully and looks fantastic. However there is an area of pressing imperfection. This is on both sides on the edge of the vinyl and shows as a slightly rough finish and discolouration. On Side 1 it is approx 5cm long and causes a hiss over this patch for the first 30 seconds of I Saw Her Standing There. On Side 2 the area affected is much smaller and barely affects the first 7 seconds of Love Me Do. I tried (several times) to get a photo of this area but my camera is just not up to the job. Other than this small area the vinyl looks and sounds brilliant with no scratches or marks, it plays like a dream! If it was not for this slight problem I would be grading the vinyl as EXCELLENT/EXCELLENT+
