Description
The Beatles Please Please Me UK 1st Press Mono PMC 1202
A nice example which I guess has been played quite a lot but still rates as very good throughout.
Labels: VERY GOOD
Both labels very good condition, no writing or stickers but signs of general wear. Dick James credits for 'I saw her standing there' showing this to be a true first pressing.
Vinyl Appearance: VERY GOOD
Very good overall appearance, with quite a few light scratches and scuffs visible here and there. Hard to see but visible when examined under bright light.
Matrix Numbers: XEX 421-1N, XEX 422-2N
Inner Sleeve: EXCELLENT
Correct EMITEX inner with cellophane lining. No splits or creases.
Cover: VERY GOOD
Cover shows general wear and tear - edges and corners are quite worn. Some creasing to laminate. Ringwear visible to rear.
This is the correct EJ Day first press cover with the Angus McBean photo credit correctly positioned to the extreme right. (Later covers had the photo credit moved a bit further to the left - such covers are suitable for 3rd presses or later - beware of cover swaps).
Someone has written their name 'Phil' to the top rear of cover - see photo.
Sound: VERY GOOD
No skips or jumps, although some slight background noise evident. The record has probably been played quite a few times, this is reflected in the grading.
Please note: All gradings strictly based on the Record Collector Grading System.
