The Beatles Please Please Me Gold 1st Press

The Beatles Please Please Me Gold Mono 1st Pressing.

Much has been said and is known about this edition, but not much has been said about the curious ring underneath the side 1 label on the record. Usually nearly always with the 1H stamper, it is very hard to find this very early ring type complete, as most that are seen show only a 3/4 ring. This is a nice example of this label. This is the glossy type label and not the matt type also.

Apart from a few marks and light scratches, this plays fantastic with only a light noise at the start, and a few clicks through where there is a small abrasion near the end of side 1 (please see pic 4).  Side 2 plays EX- with a few very nearly inaudible clicks between songs near the end of side two. Please listen to the recording.

Definitively looks like it was looked after for about 45 of it's 49 years, not quite mint, bordering on Ex-/Ex, but will happily rate it as Labels EX / EX, Vinyl VG / Ex-.

Cover is the first gold E J Day type with some damage to the bottom right hand corner, and bottom back flap. It also has a small record store sticker on the back. EX-/ VG+

EMITEX inner in Ex.

I am and have always considered myself a Beatlefreak and collector. I am not a dealer, but have many treasures I've collected over the years that I have now decided to part with.
