Vinyl Audio Grade & Date of Playtest: Play grade - Good Minus (I have played this record 3 or 4 times and most recently on the 18th July 2008. Each time I have played it it has played right the way through with no skips or jumps. My turntable that I am using is a Project Audio With Ortofon Cartridge. It’s nothing high spec but I just wanted to let potential bidders know what I was using. The sound is reasonably clear but there is some very noticeable audible crackle on both sides. There is some very noticeable crackle and background noise in between tracks, as stated above after 3 or 4 plays I have not experienced any skips, jumps or sticking. There are lots of pops throughout the record though and they are quite frequent. There is also quite a lot of clicks per revolution here and there throughout the record due to light hairline scratches on the disc. If the record had any jumps, skips or sticking on it I would have graded it Fair but because it plays right through without any of those I will grade it just above Fair at Good Minus).

Vinyl Visual Grade: Fair to Good Minus (Looks very very well played with lots and lots of light superficial hairline surface marks covering the record, there are also lots of light feelable hairline scratches on the record which do affect play by causing some of the pops/clicks mentioned above, there are lots and lots of spindle marks which also indicates the record has been very well played, no major tears to the labels, there is also no pen marks/writing on the labels either, there is considerable wear to the spindle holes, the labels are in fair condition with quite a lot of fading and discoloration on side 1 label, visually this record is not in the best of shape but it plays right through with no noticeable major skips or jumps or sticking and the sound is reasonably clear so if you want this in your collection and don't want to fork out hundreds of pounds for a mint copy then maybe this is for you) Please bear all this is mind when bidding as I want to stress once again that this copy is probably only a collection filler until you find a better copy. I normally wouldn't offer an LP in such a condition but I know this one is rare and doesn't turn up for sale that often so I thought I would see if anyone would be interested in this one.

Album Cover Grade: Fair (THIS SLEEVE HAS NOT BEEN SWAPPED AND IT IS THE ORIGINAL BLACK AND GOLD SLEEVE WITH THE photo credit OF Angus McBean ON THE bottom right of THE front cover to the extreme right VERY CLOSE TO THE SLEEVE OPENING. i nEVER SWAP SLEEVES AS I WANT THE SLEEVE AND THE RECORD TO REMAIN 100% AUTHENTIC.) Let me also point out that the front of this sleeve at one point was completely torn in half. I have managed to repair it to a reasonable standard though by taping it back together from the inside and I personally feel that the job is a good one and as good as it can be. The flipback lips were also loose so they have also been repaired and taped from the inside to a decent standard. (there is major creasing to the front and rear corners, there is also lots of additional creasing on the sleeve, the sleeve has 2 very small 1 cm spine splits at top and bottom of the spine, the spine is only partially legible, the top edge has a 10 cm split on the centre and also a 3cm one near the sleeve opening, the bottom edge also has a split of about 5cm on the sleeve opening and a slightly smaller 3cm one on the centre, there is lots of rubbing/wear along the top and bottom edges, some noticeable corner rubbing, some ringwear on the front and back that is noticeable, there are five or six small rips and tears in the sleeve especially on the front and rear sleeve where the sleeve opening is, there are also two slight 2cm piece of the top and bottom rear flipback lips missing, there is some pen marks/writing on the sleeve on the rear top top right with the words 'Jean McCluney' and a slight squiggle wrote in blue biro, the front sleeve also has the name 'STEVE' wrote in large red marker on the balcony where the fab four are stood. The marker has faded over the years so you can only just see it now anyway, no serious lamintate lifting or peeling, there is significant discolouration and staining on the unlaminated rear sleeve and it is quite dirty, once again this record and sleeve are only intended to be a collection filler so please bear this in mind when bidding) This is a very rare LP though.

Record Collector 2008 Price Guide Book Price: £600 Mint

All records are graded in complete honesty and with the utmost scrutiny. All records listed have been playtested by me and the date has been detailed above. I have been collecting records now for approximately 12 years and have amassed quite a collection and have decided now is the time to reduce the collection in size. The quality of items listed generally varies but most of the time will be in Excellent condition or thereabouts. If it higher or lower than Excellent then it will be mentioned in full detail in the grading section above. Most of the records that will be listed will be from the 1950's, 1960's and early 1970s. The genre's will vary from prog rock, soul, reggae, rock n roll, beat, pop, psych. I will not be offering any classical records for sale though. I have some huge rarities in my collection and all will be up for sale at some point in the next year or so. Please be confident when buying from me as i have many positive feedback comments left for me and I have been trading on ebay for over 3 years. If you have any questions at all please do not hesitate to ask. Please also click on 'View seller's other items' on the right hand side of the page to see what i have on offer. All the pictures you see in the listings are taken with my own digital camera and my scanner. They will be 100% representitive of what you will be purchasing from me. Good Luck !

EXCELLENT

The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.

VERY GOOD

The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

GOOD

The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.

FAIR

POOR

The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.

BAD

The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler.
