What can I say that hasn't been said before , the LP that started the revolution in pop rock and roll music. every Baby Boomer knows the story of how George Martin the producer for EMI records signed the Beatles to a recording contract on EMI subsidiary label Parlophone and after a introductory 45 rpm single LOVE Me DO he herded them down to London to record an LP with 12 hours of recording time to do it. The inexperienced at recording quartet knocked it out of the park not only rehearsing the new tracks but recording them in the allotted time. With six of the 14 tracks cover songs the most famous by Medley Russell Twist and Shout. Of the 8 tracks by Lennon and McCartney I saw Her Standing There, Ask Me Why , There's A Place and the band's first #1 hit Please Please ME. It might not have been the greatest LP of the 60's but there is no denying that it is the most Important.
