THE BEATLES - PLEASE PLEASE ME LP (1ST UK MONO 'BLACK AND GOLD' - PMC 1202)
Apologies if you already bid on this. I had to end and then relist as it had bids on it but the photos of the vinyl were of another item I will be listing soon, i.e. a crossover Gold Label and not the first issue Dick James vinyl. I've corrected now which on eBay can only be done by ending the item and relisting. Thanks to Gordonbennet for catching that mistake for me and emailing me.
Lovely clean copy of the iconic 1st UK 'black and gold' pressing of Please Please Me.
The record (PMC 1202, Dick James credits for tracks A1, 2, 4, 6, 7, B4 and B6) is in excellent condition to near mint; both playing sides still super bright and glossy.
There are a few very light surface marks - these are never in any way of a heavier nature.
Fantastic sharp and clean labels.
Matrix/mother stampers: XEX 421-1N 1G & XEX 422-1N 1R.
The 1st pressing ('right' aligned Angus McBean credit) is in excellent plus condition - just one tiny piece missing from the bottom right edge after the Angus McBean credit. The rear is super white, with a little fading of the text.
