~Stereo 6th pressing UK release of The Beatles' Please Please Me for sale. Black and yellow Parlophone label missing "Sold in U.K..." text under yellow "PARLOPHONE" which signifies early sixth pressing(in this case). The 'middle size' letters spelling 'stereo' on top right front sleeve signify sixth pressing from fifth or earlier(large) or 7th or later(small). Much later official reissues also use the larger 'STEREO' type but never the middle size type in this style font in this dark of ink. Record likely pressed mid to late 1964. Sleeve is in glorious condition. Still totally shiny on front the way British record sleeves ought to be. Not absolutely perfect but definitely doesn't look it's age. There are initials on the top right corner but otherwise unmarked.
~Record very glossy but HAS SOME SCUFF MARKS ON BOTH SIDES. I put that in all caps to make sure you read clearly. Plays VERY nice and as you can see in the picture the record still has a beautiful sheen. I know it's cliche to say this about a record, but really folks IT IS fifty years old. Here in the state of Arizona it is literally considered an archaeological artifact at this age. I assumed it was a 70's reissue when I first saw it, it really is that nice. The scuff marks look like they were simply caused by the previous owner sliding the record in and out of the sleeve without a dust jacket(sigh). We've all seen that before. None of the scratches are deep and there is no skipping, just some nice warm crackles here and there. Labels have some spindle marks.
