Description

The Beatles - Please Please Me UK MONO 2nd pressing LP on the original Parlophone Black and Gold label. This copy features the corrected Northern Songs credits.

The cover is by Ernest J. Day with the Angus McBean photo credits in the bottom far right.

The label text is Parlophone rim copy in Upper-Lower case.

Matrix Numbers Side 1: XEX 421-1N Side 2: XEX 422-1N

Stampers Side 1: 2 GL Side 2: 12 GM

Tax code is MT embossed on Side 1 label.

The cover is only in Good+ condition displaying several scuffs, creasing and some discolouration on the rear. There is also a neat tape repair to bottom right front.

The labels show a lot of wear, this disc obviously having been played a lot of times.

The inner sleeve is the correct poly lined Emitex sleeve and is in VG complete condition with only some minor discolouration. The record has been removed from this sleeve to protect the original and will be supplied in a new plain white poly lined sleeve.

However, the disc remains in Very Good condition and plays through without skipping and the mono mix is loud and clear. Play is with some background pops and crackles, especially in quieter passages and between tracks but is still an excellent listening experience.

Item sold as seen and would make a good collection filler at an advantageous price. Low starting price and no reserve. Happy bidding.
