Description
I am continuing to sell many nice BEATLES records from my collection, so please check my other auctions.
IN THIS AUCTION:
· “PLEASE PLEASE ME” b/w “FROM ME TO YOU” by The Beatles
· This is a 7-inch, 45 RPM Single Record with the above songs, one on each side.
· This record is Vee Jay (or VJ) # 581.
· This record was released in 1964.
· What makes this record VERY UNIQUE is that the A-Side with “Please Please Me” has the VJ ALL-BLACK LABEL WITH SILVER PRINT AND VJ BRACKETS LOGO and the B-Side with “From Me To You” has the VJ ALL-BLACK LABEL WITH SILVER PRINT AND VJ BRACKETS LOGO WITH HORIZONTAL BARS !!!
· Both labels were issued in 1964, and the error most likely occurred when Vee Jay Records was transitioning from one logo label style to the other.
· These error label records RARELY come available for auction or purchase. They are definitely “few and far between”.
· The VINYL is graded Strong VG to VG+ CONDITION with several light hairlines/scuffs and lots of gloss! There is some light writing in pencil on the horizontal bars label (hard to see on the black label) and a little residue from a small sticker that was once on this label (near lower left). A name is written lightly on one of the silver bars (hardly noticeable).
· I once had a copy of this VJ-581 with mismatched VJ labels, but that first one had the rainbow perimeter label with VJ brackets logo on one side and the other side had the rainbow perimeter label with VJ oval logo. The record in this auction is only the second VJ record I’ve seen with mismatched labels.
· It’s definitely a “MUST HAVE” RECORD for any BEATLES’ VINYL COLLECTION!

These grading Good+ (G+), Very Good Minus (VG-), Very Good (VG), Very Good+ (VG+), Near Mint Minus or Very Good++ (NM- or VG++), Near Mint (NM), Mint Minus (M-), and Mint (M or MT) to VISUALLY grade the 45s and picture sleeves I auction, so please know the descriptions of these grades before bidding.
