The Beatles ‘REVOLVER’ album - considered one of most ICONIC and COLLECTIBLE Albums of the 20th Century - was released by Parlophone UK on August 5th 1966. EXTREMELY SOUGHT AFTER by Collectors around the World today, we are pleased to offer this VERY NICE example.
Album Description/Condition:
This ORIGINAL 1966 UK Parlophone Heavyweight Vinyl LP is on the traditional Black and Yellow Parlophone Label, with ‘The Gramophone Co Ltd’ label rim, with ‘Sold in UK…..’ and ‘Made in Gt. Britain’ label text.
Both record labels are in impressive Excellent Plus condition. A very clean set of undamaged record labels, with no discolouration or fading to any of the printed text, each record label shows a couple of signs of play to the centre spindle holes.
Side 1 matrix: XEX 605-2 and Side 2 XEX 606-3.
Side 1 stampers: 1 RPA and Side 2: 1 ROM.
The embossed ‘KT’ tax/price code is visible to the centre of the side 2 record label.
Both sides of the superb vinyl surfaces are in Excellent to Excellent Plus condition, very nice clean vinyl surfaces to both sides, showing only a couple of light surface hairlines, there are NO deep scratches or scuffs visible.
Audio Quality:
All 14 tracks play well,with a clear powerful mono sound quality, NO clicks, NO skips, however there is background crackle through most of the tracks, the vinyl LP looks better than it sounds.
The album comes in its original lined use Emitex Inner Bag, which is in undamaged condition, there is only a small seam split to one edge, and just light creasing, and age toning.
…And is housed in it’s original, front laminated, first issue Ernest J.Day & Co Ltd sleeve, printed ‘mono’ to the top right hand corner of the front of the sleeve, and with three large undamaged flip backs to the reverse.
The sleeve is in SUPERB Very Good Plus condition, the Laminated front panel shows light age wear, and still retains its gloss shine.
The reverse panel of the sleeve shows light age toning, and record ring wear. The edges are free from splits, the spine edge shows afe toning, with clearly printed ‘Revolver-The Beatles’.
A respectable example of this iconic Beatles UK original mono LP.
