Hello and thanks for looking.
Here is an early UK mono press of RUBBER SOUL. Cat no PMC 1267.
In terms of distinguishing features, I can confirm the following: It has 'printed and made by Garrod & Lofthouse Ltd, Patents pending' on the bottom right of the back cover. The tracklisting on the labels are in a serif typeface. KT is embossed on side 2 label.
- Matrix / Runout (Runout stamp side A): XEX 579-4
- Matrix / Runout (Runout stamp side B): XEX 580-4
Cosmetically, it's in decent shape. The flipback cover is intactwith no seam splits or unglued areas, just a little creasing to the laminate at a couple of points, and some staining/small marks to the back sleeve. The EMITEXinner is in nice shape. The record itself is decent Under inspection in strong daylight some marks are visible, particularly on side 2.
Visually, I suppose I would rate around VG. But a quick playtest reveals it sounds very nice - much better than that might imply. Surprisingly light on surface noise generally. A nice playing copy.
