Description

The Beatles Revolver  12” Vinyl Record LP  1966 Parlophone Mono 605-2/606-3

Uncorrected Dr. Robert on label and sleeve, Serif font and different label layout to other Revolver submissions.

Matrix stamped.

-2/-3 matrices. Remix 11 of Tomorrow Never Knows.

From http://thebeatles-collection.com/
Second pressing, 1966 until 1969. The Second “standard” pressing of “Revolver” has the same labels as the first pressing, but other matrix numbers: Side 1: XEX 605-2; Side 2: XEX 606-2 (or -3)..Variation B. This variation has Times New Roman font. This label exhibits a new layout design most notably with side one having both “Taxman” and “Eleanor Rigby” on the first line. Yet it also displays the incorrect Dr. Robert spelling on side 2. The credits pattern of “Song (Composer)-Lead Singer” has also now switched to “Song-Lead Singer (Composer)”. This probably appeared in late 1966.

This copy

Matrix / Runout (A Side Runout): XEX 605-2

Matrix / Runout (В Side Runout): XEX 606-3

KT SIDE B

Although this is listed on DC as a 3rd press the combinations are as the above variation B examples and are rare I believe (see the DC link , only one sold); i.e. taxman and eleanor rigby printed on one line , side one. 2/3 matrices. KT side B.

The sleeve has some creasing round the spine edge and is a bit stained in places, and there is rubbing on top edge -  intact and solid with no rips, no writing  - please view all photos

The inner sleeve is rarely still found with these and this is in very nice condition, a little creasing, see photos

The labels show some signs of use around centre hole, side one has some writing in the £ sign, very clean and no marks other than that.

There are marks around both sides of the vinyl and it has a slight warp  - No deep feelable scratches though and little impact on playing - a few very light ticks in ER and start of S2…apart from that…

…It plays really well a very nice listening experience

More vinyl listed please look, can combine p&p for UK sales
