Condition:
The Cover: in excellent plus condition - apart from being a bit yellowed with age (it's 45 years old) the Garrod & Lofthouse Patents Pending flipback cover is almost faultless. No peeling in the lamination, no writing, splits, tears or any other notable defects. There's a few very minor creases in the lamination but it is rare to find a sixties laminated cover without any at all, and this one is one of the best looked after sleeves I've seen.
The Labels: Nice and clean "Sold in the UK..." yellow and black Parlophone labels with just a hint of spindle marking. Side 2 has the "Doctor Robert" rather than "Dr. Robert" error. KT tax code on the label.
The Vinyl: Almost near Mint!! There's a couple of very fine 1cm hairline marks on side one which are barely visible unless held under a strong light, otherwise the vinyl looks as new. No other scuffs or marks at all on the playing surface, just a hint of use in the deadwax where the record has been taken in and out from the sleeve.
Deadwax info: Side 1 YEX 605-1 (mother:2, stamper:RD) / Side 2 YEX 606-1 (mother:3, stamper:RR).
The Inner Sleeve: Lined "Emitex" sleeve, taped on one side.
The Sound: Nice quiet vinyl and a great sounding disc. There's a click at the very end of Taxman and a couple of lighter clicks on the beginning of Eleanor Rigby and on Here There And Everywhere but otherwise I couldn't hear any other noises that shouldn't have been there.
