Description
This a genuine second pressing of The Beatles Revolver album from 1966. Mono.
Collectors will know that when issued, the song 'Dr. Robert' Was a mis-spelling. It should have read 'Doctor Robert' which was how Lennon wrote it and titled it. So, at Lennon's request this was changed. The change didn't happen until 1967.
The album here has the mis-spelling on the cover and on the record label.
The album here has the matrix numbers XEX 605-2 on side one and XEX 606-3 on side two.
The sleeve is printed by Garrod & Lofthouse Ltd.
The label on the record gives the credits as songwriter first, followed by singer.
The label also has 'The Gramophone Company Ltd' around the outer edge and 'Sold In U.K.' just underneath the 'Parlophone' Logo.
The record is completely playable and does not jump or stick. Great Mono sound. However, it is quite badly scratched and has many abrasions. This causes some 'Crackling' sound on playing, on every track.
Other condition elements to note -. A previous owner has etched his initials in to the label on side two, (K T ), and has coloured in the 'Parlophone' label, on side two only, to orange, for some reason? The sleeve is in good general condition but has faded/yellowed slightly.
The starting price recognises these condition elements but it is still a rare and odd Beatles Issue.
