Description
This is a very rare 1966 MONO 2nd PRESSING of The Beatles 'Revolver' (First pressing in Mono! however, as all first pressings of Revolver were stereo; pcs 7009), catalogue number PMC 7009, wax codes Side A: XEX-605-2, Side B: XEX-606-2. Label states 'Sold in UK subject to.. ' etc...and 'The Gramophone Co Ltd' (see photos below)
The vinyl is graded MINT and comes complete with an original SEPIA TONE Use EMI Emitex picture sleeve, there are a small number of small light stains on Emi inner sleeve, which I only mention lest any of you point this out on receipt, but it is otherwise MINT and the only sign of Vinyl use is the hairline marks left only by vinyl being removed from sleeve and put back in, on what must be only a few occasions, as clearly it can only have been played on a few occasions in the last 39 years..Basically it is totally stunning!! It's the best example I have seen. The cover is also unambiguously MINT! It is the only example of this Garrod & Lofthouse cover for Revolver I have seen where there is no fading of the original white to an off white or yellow..It's still white, glossy and sharp. It really does look virtually NEW!!!
The vinyl plays with NO background noise, NO skips, NO jumps, NO pops..just ground breaking classics, and as you know this is the LP that changed the world of popular music forever!
