Description

I wish to preface my description of the condition of this record by saying that, in my humble opinion, it SOUNDS FANTASTIC! I really enjoyed listening to this & as far as I'm concerned it reproduces all that is great about the album & provides a great listening experience. It's far from perfect though. Read on to find out more.
Details for all you Beatle nerds!
This is not the fabled edition with the "Mix 11" of "Tomorrow Never Knows". Neither is it the E.J. Day sleeve but the Garrod & Lofthouse version.

This is, however, the next version off the presses. Side 1 is XEX 605-2 & Side 2 is XEX 606-2.

This is from mother stamper number 1!
The stamper used to make Side 1 is RGL so that makes it the 218th off the line.
The stamper used to make Side 2 is RAR making it the 232nd off the line.
It features the track title "Dr. Robert" before this was changed on later pressings.
It has the KT tax stamp on Side 1 only.
This version has clearly been played a lot. There is the word (?) "TINK-A-BOMB" neatly etched into the top of the flipback.

If you hold the labels up to the light at the correct angle you can just make out that "SPIN K" has been written in dark biro on the label of Side 1 & that "TINK-A-BOMB" appears again on the label of Side 2.
There are a lot of spindle marks on the labels.
There is a notable white scuff mark across the last half of "She Said She Said".

There are quite a few light, superficial scratches & scuffs to be seen on the playing surfaces.

There is a bit of surface noise (quiet) at the beginning of each side. This persists into the second track of Side 1. There is a very feint double tick which is just audible over the intro of "Love You To". There is the tiniest hint of distortion (which I dont think is intentional) at the loudest peaks of "Here, There & Everywhere" & "She Said She Said".
For the most part, as far as I can tell, there are no ticks other than those described at the beginning of "Love You To".
There is however, a pop that I noticed at about 2.15 of "Dr. Robert".

The sleeve has just very mild creasing. The outer edge of the jacket, next to the spine, is slightly discoloured from light exposure.
The unlaminated parts of the flipbacks are pretty brown & the laminate is lifting ever so slightly at the spine.

I think this is the original issued paper inner sleeve (no polythene liner) with the "PATENTS APPLIED FOR" & "MADE IN GREAT BRITAIN" text at the bottom. Written on one side of the bag is "Sheila May" & underneath that : "Tink-a-bomb". There are  couple of brown stains or scorch marks on the bag. I'm not sure which they are.
So hopefully you know exactly what you're getting & can bid with confidence. I think this is a great copy but that's just my opinion.

Please note that should this record sell for more than £20 I highly recommend tracked postage or some other more secure/insured method than standard second class Royal Mail. Please contact me before paying should this be the case.
