Description
Revolver an original pressing from 1966 on the UK Parlophone label. Matrix 2/2. Heavy set vinyl. The LP comes housed in an original cover printed by Garrod & Lofthouse. Also included is a sepia coloured advertising inner.
Cover (Ex) Very well preserved and has clearly been looked after down the years. The front is nice and shiny and only exhibits a couple of light creases and a tiny 0.5cm tear at the opening. The rear is also in remarkable condition showing minimal fade or wear. Edge wear is minimal and overall the cover retains excellent rigidity. The spine is 100% intact...a very nice example indeed.
Vinyl (Ex/Ex-) Has clearly been cared for down the years and remains in remarkably good condition. Looking at the labels I would say it has only seen light to moderate use. There are a few marks one of which is feelable, but i'm pleased to report it does not sound or cause any issues at all. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an EXCELLENT level of playback. Intros and inbetweens are quiet and the audio comes across with excellent clarity. Yes, there's a touch of static in a couple of places, but even this is very minor. These original copies are by far the best way to hear this Beatles classic. It really is a beautiful rendition with bags of detail and excellent tonal balance.
Inner (Ex) Lightest of ageing and no splits.
