Description
Revolver an original pressing from 1966 on the UK Parlophone label. Matrix 2/2. Stampers 6-TP/6-GGL. Very heavy set vinyl. The record labels hold the abbreviated track 'Dr. Robert' which is only apparent on the earliest copies. The LP comes housed in an original cover printed by Garrod & Lofthouse and includes the Emitex inner sleeve.
Cover (Ex-) Very well preserved and has clearly been looked after down the years. The front is nice and shiny and only exhibits some light ageing. The rear is also in remarkable condition showing minimal fade or wear. Edge wear is minimal and overall the cover retains excellent rigidity. The spine is 100% intact...a very nice example indeed.
Vinyl (Ex-) Has clearly been cared for down the years and remains in remarkably good condition. Looking at the labels I would say it has only seen moderate use.There are a number of light marks on side 2 - but nothing troublesome or feelable. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a near EXCELLENT level of playback. Intros and inbetweens are quiet and the audio comes across with excellent clarity. Yes, there's a touch of static in a couple of places on side 2 [e.g. For No One], but even this is pretty minor. These heavy weight early copies are by far the best way to hear this Beatles classic. It really is a beautiful rendition with bags of detail and excellent tonal balance.
Inner (Ex) No splits and minimal ageing. The Lp will come housed in an Exstatic inner sleeve.
