Description
Here is an absolutely top quality copy of the first pressed mono "Revolver" with the hastily withdrawn remix II of "Tomorrow Never Knows".It has the first issue matrices XEX 605 - 2 with mother stamps 3L on side 1.And XEX 606 - 1 with mother stamps 1N on side 2.Has KT tax code on side 1 label and Dr Robert (Not Doctor) credit on label and sleeve. The sleeve is the much less common E.J Day variety.Original plain white inner sleeve with "patents applied for" print. This album is all original and not made up from different one's to make a whole.
I have checked a number of sources to find out about this alternate version and it seems that the side two matrix does indicate that the mix of "Tomorrow Never Knows" is different (it certainly sounds like there are more psychedelic effects).Apparently the stereo mix is different again.I believe the side one XEX 605 -2 matrix is the first matrix number but I can't state this for certain.
As to condition; the Cover is in easily Near Mint condition. In fact it's like new.I doubt if it would have looked better when it was purchased. It has been exceptionally well looked after. There is no shelf/ring wear at all and it has retained it's whiteness amazingly well. There is zero damage anywhere, absolutely no defects. And the back of the cover (which picks up finger marks easily) is as good as you will find./////.Vinyl is in superb Near Mint condition and looks great. In good light I only saw one very small light hairline,no other surface marks or any other type of marks at all.The disc is super clean.Plays superbly well, free of any defects and sounds wonderful. It has probably only been played a handful of times and obviously handled with great care. The label's only have one or two small spindle marks between them./////.The inner sleeve is in Excellent condition./////.This album is a stunner including all the features you look for in a first edition and with the bonus of having an E.J Day sleeve.
As my feedback attests you can bid with absolute confidence backed up with the assurance that if there is a problem it will be solved to your satisfaction
Record has been cleaned on a Loricraft PRC3 and tested on quality Hi- Fi./////.Records sent professionally packed.////.No Reserve For This Record.////.Postage for Multiple Items. After the first record extra records can be sent (alltogether), at a much lower cost upto 2 kilos.
