Description

THE BEATLES - REVOLVER. STEREO. GARROD & LOFTHOUSE GLOSS LAMINATED TRIPLE FLIPBACK SLEEVE.

UK PRESS ON THE PARLOPHONE LABEL (YELLOW/BLACK) LABEL. CAT NO: PCS 7009. RELEASED 1966.

SIDE 1: Graded at the very high end of the Very Good (+) bracket (I'm tempted to grade this side into the Excellent bracket but it misses out by a hair's breadth!). There are no obvious scratches or significant marks but there are a number of mild blemishes and a few hairlines although these do not affect play (the odd crackle in parts). The label is clean but with plenty of spidering evidence. The whole side plays extremely well.. The matrix number is YEX 605-1. Stampers are 1 and AG.
SIDE 2: Like Side 1 I would love to grade this surface in the Excellent bracket but it just falls short. Again, no obvious scratches or marks but a few hairlines and mild blemishes that do not affect play at all other than a period of crackle at the start of track 7 (Tomorrow Never Knows). The label is clean but with plenty of spidering. The whole side plays extremely well. The matrix number is YEX 606-1. Stampers are 2 and AM.
SLEEVE: The gloss laminated sleeve is graded as Excellent (-). There are no tears, splits or damage other than one mild crack on the left edge (opposite Paul McCartney's chin) and evidence of tape (probably a name tag) on the top left corner. On the rear the flipbacks are well sealed and there is writing in the word "Revolver". The spine is fully intact with no splits. The record is housed in a plain white paper inner.
