Description
Original 1st stereo press of Revolver on UK Parlophone from 1966. Matrix 1/1. Please note the label still holds the abbreviated track 'Dr.Robert' indicating this copy dates from the very 1st month of release. The heavy set vinyl comes housed in an original Stereo Garrod & Lofthouse cover.
Vinyl (Vg/Vg-) Despite having seen a moderate level it still plays through well. There are a number of marks either side - one or two are getting heavy. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly VERYGOOD level of playback. This copy is going to be suitable for someone who wants a playable 1st press at good value. It will not suit a hifi guru looking for purity. Interference is audible at some level most of the way through - though its never really what I'd call invasive. Perfectly playable and enjoyable. There's a mark in 'Here/There' - which causes a number of clicks. So, once again please do take into consideration the above detail and only purchase in full knowledge of it....
Cover (Vg) Has been reasonably well cared for down the years. That iconic front cover is still fairing pretty well with only a bit of creasing and tape-residue in places. The rear is ok, but showing some handling wear and tape residue. The text on the spine is still legible.
