This superb UK 1966 mono 2nd pressing is on the black & yellow Parlophone label: PMC 7009

Both labels include the 'Sold In UK..' text with 'The Gramophone Co. Ltd...' worded rims.

A 'KT' purchase tax code is present in the centre of the side 1 label.


Matrices: XEX 605-2 & XEX 606-2

Stamper codes: 1/RMD & 7/RDO

Vinyl weight: 158g


Housed in a front laminated, tri-flipback 'Garrod 6 Lofthouse' printed mono cover.

Complete with original 'Patents Applied For...' plain white inner-sleeve.

 

CONDITION

Disc: EXCELLENT +

This well looked-after disc bears clean, bright labels with a moderate collection of spindle trails around each centre hole. Both playing surfaces however are totally unmarked in strong daylight with nothing more than a few tiny light marks beneath halogen light. The sound quality is exquisite throughout with just a faint trace of vinyl background between tracks and in quieter passages but no groovewear, clicks, pops or any other audible issues whatsoever. 

Cover: EXCELLENT

A clean, strong and more importantly white example from an non-smoking household, which retains an unblemished front panel where the only sign of wear is a single light wrinkle above John's eye. All corners are in great shape with no heavy bumps or bruising to any. The rear panel is clean & black where it should be with no ring-wear, writing or missing paper. This should be 'EX+' but we've downgraded due only to a small/good repair to the lower seam.

Inner-sleeve: EXCELLENT

Light handling wrinkles with no writing, tears or seam splits.
