Description
Original UK 1966 mono copy of The Beatles - Revolver released on the Parlophone label PMC 7009. This is a rare 2nd pressing variant with Doctor Robert on the label in a laminated flipback Ernest J Day & Co sleeve ( see photos)
The record has been ultrasonically cleaned in the amazing Degritter and the vinyl has come up sparkling clean with numerous scuffs, marks and hairlines visible ( see photos). The labels have spindle trails visible. Graded G+ visually but it playtested better, closer to VG - see notes below.
We played the album through entirely and it played better than it looks with surprisingly good sound quality, a warm, pleasing & vibrant mono sound with good detail. NO jumping or skipping - the record played through as it should with background noise/crackle throughout but this did not spoil/overpower the music.
The flipback laminate sleeve is in solid condition with light wear to seams, some creasing & age related corner rubbing There is a name written in ink on the rear plus light penmanship, discolouration/foxing etc - the photos show the exact condition. No splits, laminate peel, tears or tape.
The record is in a heavyweight Emitex type inner sleeve.
Low auction start to reflect overall condition.
