 Here we have for auction The Beatles - Revolver Vinyl LP in fabulous condition for its age!
This is a 1966 Stereo UK1st Press. The matrix numbers are;
YEX 605-1 YEX 606-1.
The label has the embossed KT tax code either side of the spindle hole on Side 1, and Taxman and Eleanor Rigby on the same line.
The vinyl has been ultrasonically cleaned in our amazing Degritter and has come up spotless and very shiny - see photos. This has been played very lightly, with very clean spindle holes, and hardly any marks on the vinyl, just one or two very faint hairlines.
Playback was really enjoyable and very dynamic with wonderful stereo imagery. Lots of detail, very clear, with all instruments clear & distinct in their own space - this is Abbey Road mastering at its very best! There is some light noise in parts, audible between tracks mostly, but nothing that spoils the music.
The flipback laminate front sleeve is also in lovely condition for its age. Light spine creasing but still very readable, some slight discolouration to the two bottom corners, but otherwise still clean & shiny with no writing or tears. Very sturdy & doing a good job still!
The original paper inner sleeve had been lost so we have popped the record into a brand new poly lined inner sleeve to keep it pristine after cleaning.
This is a super copy and it is hard to find one in such lovely condition - not just a placeholder copy, but one ready to pop straight onto your turntable and play loud!
