Description
Part of a loft clearance of vinyl I`ve inherited.
PCS 7009. Stereo.
Run out shows VEX 605-1 and further round `R M` on Side 1 / VEX 606-1 and further round `2` on Side 2. Label shows 1966, PCS 7009, MADE IN GREAT BRITAIN and other details.
Sleeve is thick and made of 2x parts the front cover extends round the back and folds over the back cover to form the bond.
Basic white inners sleeve.
Record & cover are heavyweight and Excellent Condition, EXCEPT, 1x tiny circular mark on Side 1, track 3 that appears under a magnifying glass to perhaps be the result of something dropping onto it? It`s very feint and you need to tip the record in the light to see it - I thought it was a speck of dust / lint at first but it doesn`t come of with a light swipe with a clean handkerchief so must be something else.
Label is also in excellent shape with no disfigurement. Tilt it in the light and you can see some spindle marks around the hole though.
I`m no expert on vinyl so have copied the grading info below and pasted it and looked at other `collectable` listings and put in what I thought might be useful, If you need any more please ask and I`ll try to find it,
Record Collector Magazine's Grading Guide:
"MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.
EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and / or creasing.
VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration, etc.
FAIR: The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and / or defaced.
POOR: The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.
BAD: The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection filler."
