The Beatles Revolver XEX 605-2/XEX 606-1 - Withdrawn mix with RM11 Tomorrow Never Knows mix.
Matrix: Side 1, XEX 605-2, side 2, XEX 606-1
Mothers: Side 1, 1, side 2, 3.
Stampers: Side 1, NO, side 2, OA.
Tax Code: KT
Record: VG. Plays through with no skips but some quiet surface noise between tracks. Some light surface marks. Has been professionally cleaned. Very little spindle wear.
Sleeve: This is the rarer EJ Day sleeve. VG (very clean flipbacks but with a stain on the top right cover(see pictures)). Very clean spine. Really nice all round.
Inner Sleeve: VG. No splits, intact anti static plastic, Age stained. Genuine original inner sleeve with no Patents Pending in bottom left corner.
Hardly needs saying but this has the Dr. Robert misprint on both the label and sleeve. It also has very early dead wax markings, which are as expected from this record.
I could’ve replaced both the cover and inner sleeve for a better one to get a higher price but this is a record that deserves to be kept with its original items. That said both a still in really good condition and being a EJ Day sleeve makes it even rarer.
This is one of those records that has long been revered and converted by collectors of The Beatles. A genuine rarity not just for it being a GENUINE first pressing but because of the withdrawn mix (The so called ‘RM11 mix’) of Tomorrow Never Knows.
A truly rare record and this is a lovely copy. I always grade conservatively and this is no exception. I have bought NM in worse condition then this on eBay. Study the pictures as these also make up the listing.
