Description

An original copy of RS on UK Parlophone from 1966 Matrix 5/5. Some folk rate the 5/5 as the best for audio on RS. Stampers 1GO/1HP.  The heavy-set vinyl comes housed in an original mono cover. We also have an original Emitex inner sleeve too. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex/Ex-) In lovely condition and has only seen light use. Under close inspection I can only make out a couple of the light marks per side - nothing heavy or troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly EXCELLENT level of playback with two slight deviations. So many copies of RS look good to the eye - but seriously disappoint on playback. Intros and inbetweens are nice and quiet and the audio comes across with excellent clarity. A very precise and impressive rendition throughout. Even those low-key fussy tracks like 'My Life' & 'Norwegian' & 'Michelle' are nice and clean - certainly much better than typically find. There's precious little background in reality. A couple of minor ticks as 'The Word' starts up, a couple of crackles in 'Girl' - that's about it [abs no big deal]. Highly recommended. Please note - Side 1 label does have some sticker removal damage.
Cover (Vg) In respectable condition with just a couple of creases on the front. The rear has avoided the worst of the ageing process - but we do need to draw your attention to one issue. In the left hand panel/window where John seems to be hidden partially by a tree - look in the tree foliage above his head....there's a surface tear which I've inked in in black to blend it in [don't get caught out on that!]  All flipbacks are intact and secure. Edge wear is slight and the spine is 100% intact. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity.
Inner (Ex-) Lightest ageing. Bag present. No splits.
