Description

An original copy of RS on UK Parlophone from early 1966. Matrix 4/4. Very earliest 1st press can be found wit the '1' matrix from Xmas-1965. This copy is a bit later from Q1 1966 - whilst still charting. The heavy-set vinyl comes housed in an original mono cover. We also have the original Emitex inner sleeve too. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete. 
Vinyl (Ex/Ex+) In lovely condition and has only seen light use. Under close inspection I can only make out a couple of the lightest marks per side - nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an, at least, EXCELLENT level of playback with one slight deviation. So many copies of RS look good to the eye - but seriously disappoint on playback. But I'm pleased to report this one of the best preserved copies I've got my hands on for a while. Intros and inbetweens are nice and quiet and the audio comes across with excellent clarity. A very precise and impressive rendition throughout. Unusually clean for what was a very popular and heavily played title. Even those low-key fussy tracks like 'My Life' & 'Norwegian' & 'Michelle' are really clean. I detected just a couple of isolated ticks in 'You Won't See Me' and precious little background at all throughout the LP. Highly recommended.
Cover (Vg+) Not up to the standard of the vinyl, but more than respectable. A nice clean and flat front with just a bit of creasing down in the bottom left corner. The rear has avoided the worst of the ageing process - just light evidence in places. All flipbacks are intact and secure. Edge wear is very slight and the openings firm. The spine is 100% intact. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity.
Inner (Vg+) Light ageing. Bag present. No splits.
