Description
A self deprecating title, that the Beatles deliberately chose in humbleness to the grassroots blues folk it was deemed from, most notable south American black blues folk, Plastic rock, but with a twist to bounce straight back at yer and be more flexible than plastic. Rubber Soul was the first LP post the Bubblegum Pop earlier stage, heavily influenced by Bob Dylan satirical and cynical maturity in prog folk music, with one song, 'Norwegian Wood', music copied almost note for note from Bob's 'Blond on Blond', track '4th time around', but with different yet synchronistic lyrics.
This edition is the one released the day after the first edition, [which was withdrawn and reviewed, this first edition being the much sort after loud cut].
Vinyl: Matrixes: XEX 579- 5 and XEX 580-5. Mother stampers: side 1. 3 PA and side 2. 2 RD It has many surface marks and the label's many spindel marks, There's one feelabe needle scratch that goes through 'The Word', and 'Think for yourself'. However the record plays all the way through without hops skips or jumps or repeats and just some mild background and the very occasional soft pop . Graded Good.
Cover: as you ca see , a bit dirty on the back especially around the flipbacks, and some mild laminate lift on the front., A one inch split to the bottom of the opening edge. Still a very nice copy all things considered. Again graded good.
The nr mint EMItex inner is to the original paper trace lining, although this one is a slightly earlier polylined copy, graded excellent.
Playback: as stated above, yet a lovely Parlophone thick vinyl sound, never surpassed to date.
