Description

The Beatles Rubber Soul Vinyl LP Record Mono [1ST PRESSING] [XEX579/580] [1965]
Matrix Number XEX 579 -4 / XEX 580 - 4
Original and first pressing of "Rubber Soul" album in Mono by The Beatles. Printed and made by Garrod & Lofthouse Ltd, Patents pending' on the downmost part of the back cover.
Record Grading: VG-
The record is clean and has a nice shine to it. There are some surface marks on both sides of the record. None of which effect the play of the record.
The record has been played through and plays well throughout with no jumps, skips or distortion. There is some crackle in some of the quieter passages which is to be expected due to age of record but nothing that is overbearing on the music which plays well throughout.
Sleeve Grading: VG
The sleeve has some creasing and marks on either side but still maintains its shape and has no splits

Grading Guide Basis

Mint: The record itself is in brand new condition, with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items, such as the lyrics sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition.

Excellent: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.

Very Good: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

Good: Record can be played through without skipping. But it will have significant surface noise, scratches, and visible groove wear. The cover or sleeve will have seam splits. Tape, writing, ring wear, or other defects will be present. While the record will be playable without skipping, noticeable surface noise and "ticks" will almost certainly accompany the playback.
