Description
Here is a magnificent example of the "The Beatles Collection" box set from 1978. All LP's are still sealed from when the box set was manufactured!
I have had this box in my possession since about 1978 when it was first offered. I never opened it since I had all of the Beatles LP's up to that point.
Each LP is still wrapped in its original shrink wrap.
Each LP still has its "Imported- England- Capitol- EMI" sticker on the outside of the shrink wrap on the upper left corner. "Rubber Soul" has the sticker down near the middle of the left side.
There were a total of 3,300 box sets made. Each box set was numbered. This set is # 776.
The box is in Near Mint condition with very, very light wear from being on the shelf and slight wear to the "hinge," as can be seen in the attached photos.
My understanding is that these LP's were probably made from analog mastering and later box sets used digital mastering. So the LP's in this set should have the warmer feel like the original Parlophone pressings from the 1960's!
Because of the value of this package, I will ship this LP by "Restricted Delivery," which means that the winner will have to provide Photo ID in order for the Postal Service to release it. Only the winner of the LP can show Photo ID and receive the LP. This protects both the winner and myself.
