Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band is the eighth studio album by the English rock band the Beatles. Released on 26 May 1967,[nb 1] Sgt. Pepper is regarded by musicologists as an early concept album that advanced the roles of sound composition, extended form, psychedelic imagery, record sleeves, and the producer in popular music. The album had an immediate cross-generational impact and was associated with numerous touchstones of the era's youth culture, such as fashion, drugs, mysticism, and a sense of optimism and empowerment. Critics lauded the album for its innovations in songwriting, production and graphic design, for bridging a cultural divide between popular music and high art, and for reflecting the interests of contemporary youth and the counterculture.
The vinyl is absolutely STUNNING!!! It has a superior glossy sheen and sits completely flat with no warping. Stunningly clean labels and fab spindle holes!!! There are literally a couple of barely noticeable surface marks and a tiny imperfection to side 2 label. A few spindle trails but pretty much NEAR MINT!!
The outer GATEFOLD cover is also EXCELLENT with only minor age related discolouration/wear to the corners/edges as to be expected for an item of this age. DISPLAYS THE ULTRA RARE "PATENTS PENDING" to the bottom right of the outer gatefold!!
Green Peter Blake Cutouts are NEAR MINT as seem to have always been kept within the gatefold.
Includes the often missing and much saught after RED Fool's Swirl Inner!! In fab condition - it has retained amazing colour, has no tears, only the tiniest split starting to the bottom seam. EXCELLENT!
OVERALL A STUNNING, ORIGINAL AND FULLY COMPLETE PIECE TO ADD TO YOUR MUSICAL COLLECTION!!!
