Typically when I’m listing a record that I purchased second hand I evaluate the vinyl first but in this case I’ll make an exception. As I’ve said in my other second hand listings I feel that the ratings ‘Near Mint’ and ‘Excellent’ cover far too wide of a range and therefore I prefer assigning a numerical score; that having been said, after looking at the pictures, do you agree with an 87? Maybe even slightly higher? Ultimately I believe this album falls into the top end of the excellent spectrum. I’ve tried to capture the black turtleneck Ringo was wearing on the underlying cover as best I could (you can almost see it in the second picture to the immediate right of his elbow). Truth be told I want to score this a Near Mint but I can’t bring myself to reach a 90 based on a minor dent on the top seem which I tried to capture. The spine has some minor wear in some of the letters but overall the legibility is fine. The corners are all very tight as well with really only what I would call nominal wear. Also captured in the pictures (from the side) is a what I guess is sort of a bend in the jacket. Having recently purchased the album I can't state with any certainty how the album was stored prior to my ownership but almost without question the vinyl was stored outside of the jacket. If you want more pictures or have any other questions about the condition let me know. The vinyl I would say scores a 77. There are some minor surface marks that I feel keep the vinyl out of the ‘excellent’ category however I had no issues listening to the songs on my PS1000e’s; perhaps because I was hypnotized by the quality of the jacket. Honestly I put the jacket into a protective plastic sleeve and was just staring at it with a smile on my face. Just an absolutely fantastic example of this album. I’ll come as close to hermetically sealing this album for a secure shipment as I can. Thanks for looking!
