Description

An original 1st GERMAN ZTOX White&Gold from 1967! I  will make a slight admission - I am not usually a fan of the German copies. Not that they're bad - they just don't always sound as clear and precise as a UK 1st Mono/Stereo. I guess we are spoilt here in the UK!! BUT BUT...I flipped this bad-boy on the deck - and I am having to revise my opinion somewhat. This is a GREAT copy...it is reminding me of a 1st cut from the UK. It's just bold and tube-like with lolloping base-notes and clear precise highs. I have to say - I am loving it. Not a bad note on there. We have NO bits and bobs so you would need to source these. But this is an EXCELLENT playing original Day 1 German White label in an original 1st issue internal flips gatefold. I think i'm correct in saying these were for Export to Switzerland. So A SOLID AND HIGH PERFORMING BASIS. For a collector with patience - Absolutely ideal. MATRIX A1/B1.Day 1 copy¡!!!!!!
Vinyl (Ex/Ex+) In lovely condition and has only seen light use. Super lustre. Under close inspection I can only make out a couple of slight marks, one slight trail - nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an, at least, EXCELLENT level of playback. Intros and inbetweens are nice and quiet and the audio comes across with excellent clarity'. Highly impressive. To be honest it is acing it. Clean even into those lowerkey fussy numbers. Dreamy. I have totally revised my opinion...An absolute corker. I don't really care as long as the audio depth and detail are there. As long as the pressing is high quality and can resolve all the intricacies of Pepper...it gets a big thumbs up from me. A couple of crackles here and there in the super fussy SLH - that was it! And this track plays back absolutely superb. I am won over! No detractors...not even me! A cracker from all angles. You could probably make a case for going for a copy like this even if you already have a very nice playing UK 1st. It is that good...Intro to ADITL...mind blowingly good [apologies for the pun!].
Cover (Ex-) In great shape for the vintage exhibiting just the slightest handling. Lovely clean surfaces very hard to find like this. Not much wear on the edges. Only slight issue is a small 2c.m. tear right in the middle of the opening. I have neatly tape repaired it so it's a merely minor cosmetic issue. The quality of all other areas far outweighs this issue. Spine is 99% intact...take a look at that spine....Holy Moses! And there are sharp openings. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity..
