Description
Hello, and welcome to my auction! I am in the process of selling a significant portion of my personal collection of vinyl. Please save me as a favorite seller and check back over the next several weeks for Beatles, Led Zeppelin, The Who, Crosby Stills Nash and Young and other great audiophile LPs. Please note I am not a dealer, but an audiophile and vinyl lover that only buys and sells for my personal collection. My feedback speaks for itself.
This auction is for: The Beatles Sgt. Pepper Mono LP. This is clearly one of the prizes of my collection. While this LP was likely pressed during the 70's, the dead wax information is as follows: XEX 637-1 XEX 638-1. This mono was pressed from the early first mastering stampers!! It also has the yellow and black Parlophone labels, not the later silver and black Parlophone labels of later pressings. The pressing plays near mint. If you want Pepper in mono, and you want to actually play it on a high-end turntable, this is the one.
Vinyl Visual Grade Side 1: No marks Label: 2 light spindle marks
Vinyl Visual Grade Side 2: No marks Label: 2 light spindle marks
Cover Grade: Gatefold cover is vibrant. Has the very beginning of seam split at top of back panel of gatefold. Has very slight corner wear. Inner Sleeve(s) Grade: Original EMI sleeve included.Posters/Stickers/Box, etc: There are no inserts included.
Notes: Purchased used by me from a Beatle collector. I paid $100 for the LP used because it is a -1 matrix and also plays near mint. Finding a Beatles mono pressed from the original stampers that isn't noisy is next to impossible. It was money well spent and I immediately archived it at 24/192 digital. Now is your chance to enjoy it.
Please note that no record is played on my MMF-7 Music Hall turntable tracking at 1.7 grams until that record has been properly cleaned on my VPI 16.5 record cleaning machine. All records are stored in rice paper sleeves immediately after cleaning.
Please do not ask me to go back and play grade records. If a record has a mark, prior to listing I will play that portion of the record to determine if the mark is audible as a courtesy. I will be selling too many records over the next several weeks to devote 40 minutes to each title for critical play grades.
Packaging: All contents will be packed carefully in cardboard LP mailers. The LPs will be in rice paper sleeves and packed outside of the LP cover to prevent seam splits, or where seam damage has begun, to prevent worsening the damage.
Payment: Paypal only, United States only, please. I will only ship to a confirmed paypal address.
Shipping: I will ship within two business days of receipt of payment.
Insurance: Please note that I am not responsible for loss or damage if you do not insure your item. It is imperative that you insure the item if you are concerned about loss or damage.
