Description
3rd UK stereo pressing of the superb Sgt Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band album from 1969.
One box EMI labels. Comes with cut outs and has correct “stereo gatefold sleeve”.
This was the last pressing to be made from the original masters/mothers and is essentially the same version as from the 1st press issued in 1967. This can be seen with the -1/-1 matrix endings and low mother numbers.
Matrix numbers / Mothers / Stampers:
Side 1 - YEX 637-1 / 3 / GOL
Side 2 - YEX 638-1 / 1 / GPT
Vinyl visually grades EX but down graded to VG+ due to slight warp. Lovely sheen. One non feelable scuff across track 1, side 1. No other obvious marks. It’s fully play tested and plays great throughout. A very small amount of background noise on run ins and spaces between tracks only. Great fully analog audio throughout. Slight warp near outer edge but it doesn’t have any impact on the sound/how it plays on my turntable (tracking at 1.7g) Very nice sounding pressing - play grade is EX
The sleeve is EX+. Very clean and tidy with no wear or damage. Nice condition.
The cut outs are EX+/NM. No wear or creasing.
Plain white inner is EX+. Great condition with no wear or damage.
