Description
Here is an UNCOMMON Beatles’ Capitol Record Club LP, and please check my other current auction for another Beatles’ Capitol Record Club LP.
In this auction:
· “SOMETHING NEW” by The Beatles
· This LP was issued by Capitol Records.
· But this pressing is SPECIAL! This is the UNCOMMON CAPITOL RECORD CLUB PRESSING of this title.
· It was issued 1969 to 1971.
· This Record Club pressing has the GREEN CAPITOL LABELS with the printing “Manufactured under license…”.
· This CAPITOL RECORD CLUB PRESSING has its own special catalog number with an “8” preceding the original LP catalog number. This LP’s catalog number is ST 8 – 2108.
· The Beatles’ CAPITOL RECORD CLUB PRESSINGS have become VERY SOUGHT AFTER for their RARITY due to the very limited quantities pressed. You had to be a member of the Capitol Record Club to originally buy and have this LP shipped to you!! You could not walk into a record store between 1969 and 1971 and purchase this Record Club Pressing from a bin or off the rack!
· And this Record Club vinyl also comes with its CUSTOM RECORD CLUB COVER!! The COVER in this auction has ST 8-2108 printed on the rear cover at top right and on the lower portion of the spine.
· The 3 BLACK BARS on the top left seam also identify this as a Record Club LP cover.
· The COVER is graded VG+ CONDITION. It has light to moderate overall wear on both front and rear cover. The mostly white rear cover has some light aging. There are NO SEAM SPLITS and, in fact, the seams and spine are in very nice shape. There is a very tiny push on the top left corner and very light wear on all the corners overall. (Check the images and you’ll see how nice this VG+ cover looks.)
· The VINYL is in VERY NICE VG+ CONDITION with just some very light surface hairlines/scuffs.
If you are missing this one from your vinyl collection, here’s a nice copy for you to consider.
