Original Capitol Record Club Edition of The Beatles Something New in factory sealed condition which could be ordered and mailed by the mail-order division of Capitol Records, Inc. Cardboard cover with the unique three diagonal black stripes in the upper left-hand corner which were placed only on the record club edition covers. The back cover and spine contain the unique catalog number ST-8-2108 with the added "8" after the pre-fix which all of the record club editions had after 1969. The lower right-hand corner of the back cover has the RIAA number 16 which serves as the identifier of two pressing plants, Jacksonville and Longines. Therefore, this copy pressed between 1968 and 1972 can contain three label variations - black label with a multi-colored rainbow band, lime label with the purple target Capitol logo. It would be worth mentioning the rarest third possible label version. In 1968 the Capitol Record Club was sold to Longines Symphonette Society, that's why this copy might contain the Capitol Records lime label with the purple target logo featuring the text "Manufactured by Longines Symphonette, Underlicensed from Capitol Records Inc." The copy is in Mint condition with only the upper and lower right-hand corners having a barely noticeable bumping and some light age shelf wear on the shrink wrap which contains original breathe holes and doesn't have any missing pieces or tears.
