There is a lot of confusion when describing items using words such as Antique Vintage Collectible Art Deco and Retro .I have created a list in order to help the buyer be well informed on the way I list my items and how I place them into certain categories

...hard to define collectables as we all collect different strange and wonderful items - of which some have mass appeal and hold little appeal to others :) in my opinion a collectable can date from the early 80S TO THE TURN OF THE CENTURY

VINTAGE ---

PRE 1970s some items are considered VINTAGE from the 1990s IN WHICH CASE WOULD BE DESCRIBED as Vintage 1990s

RETRO to me is a style & design -Usually the term RETRO refers to items of the '50s '60s & '70s

RETRO STYLE -You could have purchased a RETRO vase yesterday from Target ..This doesn't mean the item is RETRO it means it is RETRO in STYLE and not a genuine piece from the '50s '60s '70s eras. When something is RETRO in style it will be listed as such.
An item that was popular in the 1920s and revived and remade in say the 1960s is not considered a Fake because it isn't an original it is still VINTAGE it simply means it is a copy of an earlier popular style or design and is considered VINTAGE as it is not new and is in the pre 1970s era
Lastly, if I am unsure of the era of an item I will use a question mark ??? and state my uncertainty with the age of the item.
