Description
Up for auction, starting at one penny, is Mint copy of the Mobile Fidelity Sound Lab's Beatles boxset simply called The Collection. This has been opened. In 30 years of selling on Ebay, I don't think I've ever used Mint to describe a record, but that's what these record looks like to me--full gloss, zero marks, including spindle marks, of any kind. I have carefully inspected each LP. They all look brand new. It's quite possible that they've never been played.
This box is NM- with some very minor wear. All the inserts are in Mint condition. The original outer cardboard box is also present. As you can see, it was shipped to the Harvard Coop record store. The receipt has also been taped to the box. Sadly, someone did write Beatles on the box. This item will be double boxed for safety.
I don't end auctions early and I don't entertain offers, so please don't ask.
About This Collection
As you'll see from my other auctions, I am auctioning of an amazing collection of sealed and NM MOFI records. These were all purchased by a gentleman who went on a bit of a MOFI buying spree in the 80's. He has passed on, and I am helping the family find new homes for these gems.
Shipping
I ship in brand new Bags Unlimited cardboard mailers designed specifically for mailing LPs. I will gladly combine shipping when possible.
For domestic buyers: Free Priority Mail shipping, including tracking and insurance, is included in all purchases.
For International buyers: I use Ebay's International Shipping option, which means I cover the cost of shipping to Ebay's distribution hub. Any additional expenses are between you and Ebay.
About Me
Please don't hesitate to contact me with any questions. Please read my Return Policy and 100% positive feedback. I use Goldmine Standards for grading and grade very conservatively. I'm a music lover and vinyl junkie myself and have been buying and occasionally selling lps on Ebay for over 30(!) years
On May-13-26 at 14:31:56 PDT, seller added the following information:A sharp-eyed person noted what looked like some wear on the corner of the lps. I have added some more pictures trying to capture that. The bottom spine-side corner of each jacket exhibits what looks like some light wear. There's a bit of fuzziness and the corners just aren't as crisp as the other three corners (see photo of the upper spine-side corner for reference). but i can't see how it's wear in the traditional sense. for one thing everything else about the entire package says "these lps have not been played." Everything else is just super crisp and the lps look like they just got pressed. Also, the apparent wear is super consistent across all the jackets. The upper spine-side corners have been cut, folder, and glued in the same way and they're all nice and crisp. This consistency in particular leads me to believe this is an artifact of the manufacturing process. Maybe the cutting blade was a bit dull?
