Australia EMI's version of "20 Greatest Hits" includes a bonus 7" EP with 3 additional tracks, as The Beatles had 23 number ones in Australia. The track line up is exclusive to this release to represent the #1s in Australia.Parlophone black/silver "1-box" label.
First few years of pressings, the LP label perimeter text contained "The Gramophone Co Ltd", and stated "Made in Australia by E.M.I (Australia) Limited" along the bottom perimeter. Later pressings this bottom text is eliminated and the upper perimeter text is also changed. The EP of the earlier pressings had a large "A" for side 1 with text in the entire label perimeter.
This EP is in EX Condition
The LP is unique even if for no other reason than being the only LP worldwide to contain the 1963 stereo mix of "I Want To Hold Your Hand". Unfortunately though, the first second of the track suffers from an audible “wow”, the result of a hasty 1982 tape dubbing exercise.
