Description
Polydor Japan rush-released this single in mid-1964 to try and piggyback on some of the new huge popularity for The Beatles in that country. In their haste to release these songs recorded during their Hamburg days, Polydor famously spelt My Bonnie as My Bonie on the sleeve (see photos). Further pressings in later years corrected this mistake. Another classic error is the cover photo showing the Beatles in Paris, with Ringo in the band. Of course, when these songs were recorded with the Beatles backing Tony Sheridan in Germany, it was Pete Best on drums, long before Ringo joined. It's a great collector's piece.
